Event organisers The Livescape Group are back with yet another breakthrough affair. Scheduled to take place from August 22-28, 2022, M1NTED is Malaysia’s first and biggest immersive experience that revolves around the world of NFTs.
The hybrid style event is set to gather key figures in the NFT space from all around the globe. For the first five days M1NTED will focus on the festival, which takes place across different host venues in Kuala Lumpur. Then on August 27-28, the conference will take place at KLPAC and Tiffin at the Yard, and is targeted to rake in over 4,000 participants.
“We are taking inspiration from the likes of NFT New York City, NFTCON and Miami NFT Week, which makes us unique and different in leading this movement of NFT in Malaysia. We are seeing an increasing number of people picking up the trend in embracing the world of web3, and there has been a rise of such interest at an exponential rate. By sparking such conversations and empowering people through a platform like M1NTED, we are committed to accelerating awareness and education to all uninitiated and initiated NFT buyers about taking control of their financial freedom, through decentralized tools of creative ownership,” explains Iqbal Ameer, CEO of The Livescape Group.
The festival segment of the event will be segregated into different categories comprising art, fashion, music, gaming and F&B. Other experiential offerings for attendees include the NFT Throwback and NFT Artist Village, Kick and Swap, Minted Cosplay, Beats for Mints and TIFF-in. Each category will take place on its own designated day and venue, so make sure you keep your eyes glued to the schedule!
One featured activation, the M1NTED Artist Booth, will be available at all locations. Here, attendees will be able to meet artists behind the digital creations in person and learn more about their collections and projects.
Confirmed speakers for M1NTED include Henry Kim of On1 Force from USA, Canada’s Stephen Dowler of Monstercat and Vandal of DAORecords, as well as Akshey of Doodle Estate from India. As for the homegrown talents, the list includes Ash Nair of Escape Kim, Nicole Yap of 8sian, Imran Haqeem of Tezos and Roachpunks.
Here’s a peek at some of the topics that are bound to be incredibly insightful for enthusiasts of all things digital: ‘Shared Ownership in NFT Music’, ‘Owning a Property in the Metaverse’, ‘The Future of Web3 Gaming’, ‘Screw Spotify’ and ‘NFT: Halal or Haram’.
